For universities wishing to use our services to compliment theirs, we offer a seamless service, working closely with university support advisers, departments and students for an integrated and inclusive approach.

What can a diagnostic assessment formally explore & identify?

A diagnostic assessment is an in-depth exploration of a student’s learning profile, allowing us to discover cognitive and literacy strengths and challenges that are presented in the learning environment.

If appropriate, it also allows for a formal indentification of Specific Learning Difficulties as the umbrella term or specific subtype to be made.

Dyslexia

Dyspraxia

Dysgraphia

ADHD

Numeracy Difficulties

For students at HE level, a diagnostic assessment explores neuroiversity as a whole and possible co-occurrance. It can formally identify dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, with additional testing for ADHD for a non-medical identification.

Referrals can be made for other co-occurrences that are beyond the scope of the assessment.

Carried out by Specialist Teacher Assessors with an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC)

Conducted in accordance with the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee guidelines

Reports clearly signpost through the profile, with analysis, implications & recommendations

Suitable for University, a DSA application (if a formal diagnosis is made) and beyond
